URDU 3 THE ROLE OF MUSLIM COUNTRIES AND THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY IN SOLVING THE PROBLEMS OF ROHINGYA MUSLIMS

Abstract

Mahatma Gandhi's followers, who preach love for humanity, have shamed humanity in Myanmar. International community, including Muslim states, is condoling the condition of Rohingya Muslims.  Barbarity & cruelty on Rohingya muslims has touched/reached historic high. Since last few decades, thousands of muslims in Myanmar have been killed; their houses burnt; hundreds of muslim women have been violated and kids killed. Muslims have left their hearth and home to take refuge in Bangladesh. Their houses are under strict surveillance and preaching of Islam has been banned. Muslims charitable endowment places have been turned into grazing fields. Desecration of mosques continues unabaded; in fact, ban is implemented on construction of mosques & madressahs. Muslims have been denied admissions in government educational institutions and are declared ineligible for both government and private jobs merely because of their belief. To some extent, the conscience of international community has been awakened by whatever is happening with Ruhingya muslims in Arakan province of Myanmar. United Nations has termed situation of Arakan as very dangerous and pitiable/deplorable and called it Palestine of Asia. This is attestation to the fact that Burmese government and forces are involved in cruelty against Rohingya's muslims. In this regard, Muslim Ummah needs to wake up to the occasion. The sorry state of affairs of Burmese muslims is not only a moment of deep introspection for Muslim Ummah but also for the entire humanity. After every ten to fifteen years, these Rohingya muslims are under the continous harrow of genocide. In Rakhaien, such stories of cruelty & barbarism are being recorded as never set before by any pharaoh of any age. In this paper, the character of muslim countries and international community has been dissected regarding their role in solution to the problems of Burmese muslims.
