Abstract

This paper primarily deals the cohesion of a plural society based on some common characteristics depending upon the co-related socio-economic issues i.e. ethnic and lingual aspects along with regional identity, peace, prosperity and single religion that promotes a collaborative culture in this small region. The word Culture is largely an important product of the human activities. It was always developed by the people in different region of the world. Various factors of human’s life indicate the cultural assimilation or conflict among the societies. Dera Ghazi Khan which is an important region of Pakistan and it has consisted of several plural societies and multi ethnic and lingual groups. Even multi ethnic groups the region has various features of cultural assimilation. These features create integration among the people of Dera Ghazi Khan which is very important for peace, prosperity, mutual cooperation and internal harmony among the people. This Research Paper highlights the main features of cultural assimilation and its role in the integration of Dera Ghazi Khan.
