Abstract

The paper primarily deals and explore the rule of local Kalhora dynasty which governed on Sindh and Derajat after the downfall of the Mirani Dynasty. Dera Ghazi Khan Region governed by many dynasties after its post historic period. The downfall of Mirani government provided a chance to southern neighbor of Sindh for intervene in Dera Ghazi Khan. After the death of Mehmood Khan Gujar, The King of Khurasan appointed Mian Shah Nawaz the ruler. The murder of his minister Gudduram created unrest and King of Khurasan advised to Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhora for action. This order again provided a chance to rule over Dera Ghazi Khan.  After this order, Mian Ghulam Shah Wali himself came to Dera Ghazi Khan and arrested the last Mirani ruler. He took him to Sindh. The last Mirani ruler died, he was buried in Sindh. After that, Dera Ghazi Khan came under the direct influence of King of Kabul under the Supervision of Kalhora dynasty. This paper is an attempt to explore the role of Kalhora dynasty in Dera Ghazi Khan.
